Gianni Russo (“Carlo” in The Godfather) is coming to San Diego for our Little Italy signature event of 2022 as we present him recounting stories from the iconic film, providing excerpts from his best selling book, Hollywood Godfather, and crooning to the musical repertoire that has shaped his life.

Gianni will take you on an enlightening journey, enchanting you with tales from the greatest film ever made and offering you an intimate view into his captivating life as he fondly recounts the importance of family, faith, and food. You will hear about his exhilarating encounters with Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, James Caan, Marilyn Monroe, and numerous other stars of that era.

Purchasing tickets to the event will also include opportunities to meet Gianni, receive a signed copy of his book, and take pictures with the Hollywood Godfather. Also, you will be able to sit stageside, enjoying a stellar dinner from Little Italy restaurants, and indulging in libations galore. In addition, we will be holding an auction that includes a private dinner for 10 at Gianni’s home in New York, along with a host of other high-end items from our sponsors and donors. There will be bars with alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, our Caffè Caritàzza will be open for hot and cold coffee beverages, we will have event memorabilia for sale, and there will be other exciting offerings.

All your contributions on this exciting night will help to support our nonprofit and Convivio’s vision to establish a large-scale Italian cultural center and heritage museum for San Diego County.
